PHILLIPSBURG -- Riley Juenemann scored two TDs rushing and one passing as the Panthers moved to 5-0 and travel to 1-4 Thomas More Prep-Marian this week. Juenemann had 14 carries for 152 yards and two rushing TDs, and was 7-of-14 passing for 137 yards and a score. Phillipsburg has surrendered just 24 points this season, fourth best among Class 3A schools, according to preppowerindex.com.

OSBORNE --  Senior Maverick LeRock and Kenton Ubelaker combined for 197 yards rushing for the unbeaten Bulldogs, the No. 2 ranked team in Eight-Man Division I in the statewide media poll. The Bulldogs had 278 yards rushing while sophomore quarterback Jake Tiernan threw just two passes, completing one for a 12-yard score. LeRock averaged 23 yards per carry on four touches while Ubelaker averaged 13 on eight touches. Tiernan had 53 yards rushing on five carries with a pair of scores. The Bulldogs travel to Linn to return to Division I, District 4 action this week. Stockton fell to 1-4 and will travel to 4-1 Thunder Ridge for Division II, District 5 play.

SMITH CENTER --  The Redmen opened up Class 2-1A, District 6 play in blowout fashion. Clint Rogers rushed for 332 yards and six scores with scoring runs of 34, 43, 39, 78, 1 and 50 yards. He averaged 18.4 yards per touch on 18 carries. The Redmen led 43-0 at halftime. Smith Center travels to Ell-Saline on Friday.

GRAINFIELD -- Elijah Stone rushed 48 times for 249 yards and a pair of scores as Greeley County kept pace with Eight-Man Division II, District 6 leaders Wallace County and Weskan. The Jackrabbits moved to 2-3, but are 2-0 in district play with wins against Wheatland-Grinnell and Golden Plains. Wheatland-Grinnell is out of district play this week as it travels to Logan-Palco.

KENSINGTON -- The Thunder Ridge Longhorns bounced back from their first district loss since 2009 in a big way. After falling to Beloit/St. John's-Tipton last week, the Longhorns got a big game from Trent Rietzke in just two quarters. Rietzke rushed for 194 yards and four scores on 19 attempts. Garrett Krueger added eight carries for 56 yards. Natoma's Jackson Stull-Meiers had just 20 yards on five carries. The Tigers managed just 29 yards on the ground and 57 through the air. The Longhorns host Stockton this week, while Natoma travels to Almena to face Northern Valley in district play.

St. Francis dropped to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in district play and hosts fifth-ranked Oakley this week.

NESS CITY -- Ness City snapped its two-game losing streak by putting up 16 points in the second quarter to open up Eight-Man Division I, District 8 play. The Eagles had 195 rushing yards and Tanner McMillen passed for 79 with four TDs to lead the way. McMillen had 93 rushing yards on 12 carries with a pair of scores as well. Chad Mohler led Quinter with 27 carries for 122 yards and two scores. Quinter hosts Hill City this week, while Ness City plays at 4-1 Hoxie.

HOXIE -- Connor Katt and Chase Kennedy combined for 250 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground as Hoxie moved to 4-1 and 1-0 in Division I, District 8 play. With Josh Heim's 96 yards rushing, the Indians put up 343 on the ground. Trego managed just 40 yards on the ground and 46 yards total. Hoxie hosts 3-2 Ness City, and Trego plays unbeaten Atwood-Rawlins County, the No. 5 ranked team in Division I.
