Four Fort Hays State University baseball players were recognized on the all-MIAA postseason baseball team, released Thursday.

Senior Clayton Garland was named second team in the outfield, while senior Horace Johnson was third team at first base.

Junior Cooper Langley (DH) and junior Kevin Czarnecki (UT) were named to the honorable mention team.

Garland, last summer's Player of the Year in the Jayhawk League with the Hays Larks, finished with a .406 batting average this spring for the Tigers. He scored 42 runs, carried a .594 slugging percentage with six stolen bases and 20 extra-base hits. Garland was honorable mention last season.

Johnson, who was first-team all-MIAA last spring at DH, hit .276 this spring with 13 doubles, seven home runs and 42 RBIs.

Central Oklahoma shortstop Phillip Wilson was named the Player of the Year and Central Oklahoma's Ricky Reeves was named the top pitcher. Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University coach Chris Martin was the Coach of the Year.
