Hurricanes open season in Great Bend

The Hays Hurricanes swim club opened its 2014 season in Great Bend on Saturday.
Several swimmers placed in the top three in their respective events. The following earned those spots:
KallynDeWitt (age 12):  100 Fly (3rd), 200 IM (1st), 200 Free (1st)
Lakin Ditter(age 16):  200 IM (3rd)
Megan Flavin(age 12):  50 Free (1st), 50 Fly (1st), 50 Back (2nd), 50 Breast (1st), 100 Free (1st)
Amelia Jaeger (age 10):  50 Free (1st), 50 Fly (1st), 50 Back (1st), 100 IM (1st), 100 Free (1st)
YeseniaMaldonado (age 12):  50 Fly (3rd), 50 Back (3rd), 100 Free (3rd)
Ben Morley (age 16): 200 IM (2nd)
Ben Rajewski(age 17):  500 Free (2nd)
Kayson Unsworth(age 11):  200 Free (2nd)
Mindi Veach (age 10): 50 Free (3rd), 100 Free (3rd)
Also competing at Saturday's first meet: Carson Ackerman, Emily Brinley, Kallyn DeWitt, Lakin Ditter, Loganne Ditter, Jordyn Flavin, Megan Flavin, Hannah Harman, Amelia Jaeger, Yesenia Maldonado, Ben Morley, Kyra Polifka-Wilhelm, Ben Rajewski, Katie Tinkel, Kayson Unsworth and Mindi Veach.
The Hurricanes' next meet is Satudray in Scott City.
