TMP boys, girls win Larned Invitational

LARNED -- The Thomas More Prep-Marian boys and girls both took first place at the Larned Invitational cross country meet Thursday. The girls had a team score of 25, with Dodge City and Macksville finishing second with 39. The TMP boys scored 26, well ahead of second-place Dodge City's 52.

Austin Dinkel led the TMP junior/senior boys with a fifth-place time of 19 minutes, 38.25 seconds. Matt Mindrup also finished in the top 10 with a time of 19:54.68. Tony Staab took 12th with a 20:12.18. Macksville's Henry Penner won the race with a time of 17:42.26.

Kayla Walker led the TMP junior/senior girls with a third-place time of 18:02.93. Alyssa Keil took ninth for TMP with a time of 19:02.53. Pratt-Skyline's Brooke Fisher won the race in 16:44.64.

TMP's next action is Oct. 1 at the Lyons Invitational.
