April 14--Cessna Aircraft Co. said Monday that it has been granted certification in China for one of its Citation business jets.

Cessna said in a release that the Civil Aviation Administration of China approved certification for the Citation XLS+ mid-size jet.

The approval provides for deliveries of the jet to begin later this year, as well as for its joint venture, Cessna-AVIC Aircraft (Zhuhai) Co. Ltd., to move closer toward final assembly and delivery of the XLS+ in China.

Cessna said Ministry of Commerce of China approval for the joint venture's business license could come as early as this summer.
