TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- Several Shawnee County organizations are sponsoring a community workout on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka.

The fourth annual event will be held Sept. 17, beginning with a health fair shortly after sunrise. The workout starts at 6:30 a.m. at Washburn's Moore Bowl and events are expected to be completed shortly thereafter.

Organizers are encouraging people to participate regardless of their fitness level or ages. As many as 850 residents have taken part in previous years.

The event is sponsored by several Topeka area health organizations, the Shawnee County Health Agency and the YMCA of Topeka.
