A Monday morning collision involving two vehicles and one pedestrian resulted in the pedestrian going initially to McPherson County Health Center, McPherson, and then being taken to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, about 4:02 a.m. Monday, a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Samantha Gaylor, 23, of McPherson, was headed south on I-135 about a mile north of the Saline-McPherson county line when Gaylor lost control on an icy bridge.

The car struck a parked 2004 Yamaha V-Star.

Pedestrian Joel Longbine, 47, of Sedgwick, stopped to assist and was hit by the Impala.

Longbine was the only person involved in the accident sent to the hospital.

Gaylor was not injured. Also, passengers in Gaylor's car -- Ashlea Hixson, 20, Hutchinson, and Scarlet Defreese, 8 months old, McPherson -- were not injured.
