DODGE CITY -- The Hays Larks won their seventh straight game with an 18-11 victory Tuesday at Dodge City. The Larks tied their season-long for consecutive victories. Hays opened the season 7-0.
Monday's win ended the season series with Dodge City and gave the Larks a 4-2 edge for the summer. Hays continued to stay in first place with five games left, including a road game at Liberal tonight.
The Larks now are 25-10, 19-10 Jayhawk League, while Dodge City is 21-13, 16-12 in the Jayhawk League. Hays now has a 2.5-game lead on the field.
