Shawn Lewick, starting pitcher for the Hays Larks and this spring for the Fort Hays State University baseball team, has signed with the
Wichita Wingnuts of the American Association of Independent Baseball league.

The left-handed Pretty Prairie native is slated to start for the Wingnuts on Friday as they take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

Lewick had made four appearances and three starts for the Larks this summer, posting a 1.37 earned-run average and a 2-0 record. He had 24 strikeouts in 26.1 innings.
