Hays man killed in four-wheeler accident

A Hays man was killed Saturday afternoon while operating a four-wheeler in the 400 block of Canterbury.

According to the Ellis County Sheriff's office, Bryan E. Fay, 27, collided with the side of a building due to the speed at which the four-wheeler was operating. He was taken to Hays Medical Center, where he later died. A passenger, Adam V. Klaus, 25, Hays, sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.

The incident still is under investigation by the Ellis County coroner's office and sheriff's office.
