Area residents appointed by governor
TOPEKA -- Gov. Sam Brownback this week announced recent appointments to boards and commissions.
"Kansas is a great place to live and I am so appreciative of Kansans who take their time to keep making Kansas better," said Governor Brownback.

The folowing northwest Kansas residents were appointed:
* Walter Hill, Hays, was reappointed to serve a four-year term on the Governor's Behavioral Health Services Planning Council. Hill earned a bachelor's degree from Western State College of Colorado and a master's degree from Fort Hays State University. He is executive director of High Plains Mental Health Center.
* Tuan Huynh, Hays, was appointed to serve a four-year term on the Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. He is working toward his bachelor's degree at Fort Hays State University.
* Jerilyn Stull, McCracken, was reappointed to a three-year term on the Kansas Abstracters Board of Examiners. Stull became an abstracter in Kansas in 1995 and owns La Crosse Abstract and Title.
