Six hurt when RV rolls in Thomas County

COLBY -- Six people from Meriden, including four children, were injured Thursday afternoon when a recreational vehicle rolled onto its side.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported all six were transported to Citizens Medical Center in Colby after the accident, which occurred just prior to 2 p.m.
According to the KHP, a 2003 Trail-Lite RV driven by Mary Harden, 74, was westbound on Interstate 70 18 miles west of Colby when it struck a concrete bridge, veered into the median and struck the eastbound guardrail. The RV went over the rail and came to rest on its passenger side.
Also injured in the accident were occupants George Harden, 73; Hannah Waugh, 12; Jacob Waugh, 9; Joseph Waugh, 11; and Quinn Waugh, 7.
The KHP reported none of the children in the RV were wearing seat belts.
