Ness County postal worker faces embezzlement charge

A Ness County postal worker has been indicated by a federal grand jury for allegedly embezzling funds from the post office.
Paula J. Sargent, 47, Ransom, is charged with a misdemeanor count of embezzling funds while working for the U.S. Postal Service. The crime is alleged to have occurred April 23 in Ness County.
If convicted, Sargent faces up to a year in federal prison.
