World-renowned singer to perform in Wichita State opera
World-renowned bass-baritone and Wichita State University alumnus Samuel Ramey -- a native of Colby -- will co-direct and perform in WSU's production of the classic American opera "Susannah."
The performance is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 to 19 and 2 p.m. Oct. 20 in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. General admission is $16, $14 for military and seniors, $6 for non-WSU students and free for WSU students with ID.
The appearance of Ramey, who is in his second year of residency at WSU as a distinguished visiting artist, is a special treat for regular opera-goers and a great opportunity for those who have never attended an opera.
