SkyWest Airlines will start service at Hays Regional Airport in time for travelers to book summer vacations.
Starting Aug. 1, the carrier will offer 12 weekly flights from Hays to Denver on 50-passenger jets, according to the company's release. Operating through United Express, customers can use and buildup frequent flier miles with United's MileagePlus loyalty program.
An Aug. 1 flight to Denver returning Aug. 4 costs $193.50 as of today, according to the carrier's website.
Mike Thompson, SkyWest vice president of market development, said in the release the partnership offers Hays opportunities.
"Having access to reliable, local air service is critical for the economic development of communities and we look forward to the start of these new United Express flights in Hays," Thompson said.
