Three indicted in alleged Thomas County drug bust

WICHITA -- Three men from Texas and California were indicted Wednesday for possessing illegal drugs in Thomas County with intent to distribute, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom.
Marco Alcazar-Castello, 59, Baytown, Texas, is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 15 pounds of cocaine. Authorities allege the crime occurred Thursday, according to the statement.
If convicted, he faces a penalty of at least 10 years and a fine of up to $4 million.
Alberto Vergara-Manzo, 24, Lynwood, Calif., and Felipe Balleza, 48, Dallas, are charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 4 pounds of methamphetamine. Authorities allege that the crime occurred Oct. 29, according to the statement.
