With the holidays approaching, it's time to think of giving to others.

For a second year, the management and employees at S&W Supply and its parent company Warehouse Corp. is participating in the Toys for Tots campaign, said Ryan Bickle, vice president of sales and coordinator of the drive.

S&W is a distributor for Federated Auto Parts, a corporate sponsor for the toy drive.

Last year, the business had 38 collection points for toys in western Kansas and collected more than 1,000 toys, Bickle said.

The number of collection points has expanded this year.

Bickle said he asked the other companies S&W does business with and was amazed by the positive response.

Donations must be new toys in their original packaging, but not gift-wrapped. The toys should be something a person would want to give a child in their own family and can be for ages up to 12.

The deadline to drop off toys at one of the locations is Dec. 11.

"We're trying to get the word out," Bickle said.

Collection boxes are located at the eight S&W Supply stores and 55 other locations in Kansas, including five in Hays.

There also are some locations in Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

They are teaming up with the Graham County Toys for Tots to distribute the toys in northwest Kansas.
