Hays City Commission eases water restrictions
It took much debate, but Hays city commissioners voted 3-2 on Thursday night to ease water restrictions within city limits.
The city had been in a water warning stage as a lingering drought took its toll on the area. The warning stage was a precautionary move.
But recent rains in the region brought the discussion of easing the warning stage back to the forefront.
With the 3-2 vote, commissioners set the city in a water watch. Commissioners Shaun Musil and Kent Steward dissented.
