For the second year in a row, downtown Hays will play host to hundreds of Fort Hays State University and Hays Academy of Hair Design students, faculty and staff on Thursday.

The Core2Campus event will introduce students to the array of unique shopping, dining, art and entertainment downtown Hays has to offer.

The Downtown Hays Development Corp., Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tiger Gold on Friday committee and Eagle Communications have joined forces to host the event.

Due to the nature of the event, many downtown Hays streets will close for public safety from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The streets that will be closed to traffic include: Main Street from Eighth to 12th, 10th from Fort to Oak, 11th from Fort to Oak, and the 10th Street parking lot.
