Stories from Swiss-German farmers to be shared
The Hutchinson News
Jason Holcomb, a professor at Morehead State University in Kentucky, will share his impressions and stories from visiting with seven local Schweitzer, or Swiss-German, farmers during a program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pine Village Wellness Center in Moundridge.
Holcomb, who has helped Kansas farmers with custom harvesting for many years, met the farmers and was asked to interview several so others could enjoy hearing about those experiences.
The event sponsored by the Swiss Mennonite Cultural and Historical Association is open to the public, and no reservations are necessary. Refreshments will be served. A condensed booklet of the interviews will be available for a small fee.
