The public is invited to attend a reception honoring Bob Lowen from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Hays Welcome Center. Lowen is retiring from his position as executive director of Heartland Community Foundation.

"The board of directors of the Heartland Community Foundation would like to invite Bob's friends and associates to join us in recognizing his service to our organization," said Brandon Prough, chairman-elect of the Heartland Community Foundation board of directors. "Drop by and enjoy some refreshments and visit with Bob and meet Tammy McClellan, our new executive director."

Lowen has served as executive director of Hearland Community Foundation for the past four years. His retirement is effective June 30. McClellan recently was named the new executive director.

Heartland Community Foundation is not-for-profit foundation whose mission is to build permanent endowments to benefit the people of Ellis, Rooks and Trego counties. The HCF is one of 12 affiliates of the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
