OAKLEY -- A Logan County jury has convicted a Minnesota man of aggravated human trafficking of a minor, the Kansas Attorney General's office reported Friday.

OAKLEY -- A Logan County jury has convicted a Minnesota man of aggravated human trafficking of a minor, the Kansas Attorney General's office reported Friday.

The conviction in Logan County District Court was returned Thursday against Preston Sanders, 27, St. Paul, Minn.

He was convicted of transporting a person less than 18 years old knowing that person would be used for the sexual gratification of another. He also was convicted of transporting an open container of alcohol, furnishing alcohol to a minor and driving on a suspended license.

Sanders was arrested during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 70.

District Judge Glenn Schiffner will sentence Sanders on Dec. 5.
