Benjamin Alvis, 26, Hays, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 23, 1987, in Wray, Colo., to Carl and Janice (Rasmussen) Alvis.
He married Lisa Anderson on Dec. 2, 2013, in Hays. He worked in the oil fields, as well as helping his dad in home maintenance.
Survivors include his father, Hays; his wife, Texas; a son, Kylian Alvis, Hays; his grandparents, Hank and Violet Meyers, Wray; three brothers, Buck Alvis and Ken Alvis, both of Cawker City, and Wayne Rasmussen, Wray; and five sisters, Christine Hockman and Angie Alvis, both of Hays, Kathy Anderson, Roxanna Chavez and Terri Rasmussen, all of Wray.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a grandmother, Bessie Hembuch.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hays Memorial Chapel, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601; cremation has taken place.
