Bill Heier, 92, Page City, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter.
He was born Baldasor J. Heier on Dec. 3, 1921, in Gove County to Bernard and Julianna (Kuntz) Heier and stepmother, Margaret (Zerr) Heier.
He married Josephine "Jo" Bollig on Aug. 26, 1947, in St. Peter. She preceded him in death. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Conway and husband, Don, Dodge City, Norma Zerr and husband, Ralph, Park, and Dorothy Latham and husband, Bryan, Winona; a sister, Lena Zerr, Grainfield; two half-brothers, Tom Heier, Oakley, and Felix Heier, WaKeeney; a half-sister, Tina Bockwinkel, Oakley; six grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Augustine, Frank, Alfred, Edwin and Wilmer Heier; two sisters, Margaret Heier and Antonia Weber; and a half-brother, Wilmer Nicholas Heier.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, with military honors.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
A rosary/wake service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph School or Gove County Medical Center in care of the funeral home.
