Hays Public Library will host a book-signing event by author Roger Fry from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 20. Fry, Holyrood, will be available to sign copies of his book, "The Chronicles of John Grant."

Running for his life, Grant embarks on a journey that will test his will and endurance. Forced to choose between the safety of his family and the fate of the world, Grant must forge himself into the ultimate warrior to face humanity's deadliest ancient foe and became the tip of the spear that leads the forces of civilization against the evil that has enslaved the human race since time immemorial. With the enemy closing in ever more at every turn, John Grant must rise to the challenge to overcome his greatest obstacle: himself.
