Grade-school artists will have open house

RUSSELL -- On Sunday, student artists from Bickerdyke and Simpson elementary schools in Russell will host a holiday art open house, an exhibition of holiday-inspired artwork. All are welcome to join the artists celebrate the season from 2 to 4 p.m. at Deines Cultural Center, 802 N. Main in downtown Russell. Christmas ornaments can be created for $4, or people can donate a food item to the Russell food pantry and pay $2. All monetary proceeds will be donated to Russell County Community Partnership to help purchase Christmas presents for students in the Russell area.
