TOPEKA -- Gov. Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff today from sun-up to sun-down in recognition of a national Day of Remembrance for President John F. Kennedy.

"The legacy of John F. Kennedy is in the strength of the memories we hold of his Presidency and vision for America," Brownback said. "I encourage all Kansans to engage in a moment of silence today in remembrance of a dedicated American servant."
