Celtic guitarist Barlow performing at library

Hays Public Library will host acclaimed Celtic finger-style guitarist Jerry Barlow for a special concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at the library, 1205 Main. The event is free.

Barlow is a performer and storyteller. His repertoire incorporates traditional pieces, as well as his own Celtic-inspired compositions. His arrangements of lively jigs, spirited reels and haunting airs is described as music to soothe the soul, warm the heart and lift the spirit.

Music from Barlow's recordings can be heard on National Public Radio stations. He has been featured in Finger-style Guitar magazine, and was profiled in the February 2011 issue of Celtic Connection.
