Monique Holmes and Kaleigh Wentworth, parent educators for Early Childhood Connections, have been awarded a Home Visitor Child Development Associate credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children and their families. The Council for Professional Recognition in Washington awards credentials to early childhood educators who demonstrate the ability to support parents in nurturing the needs of their children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth.

Donetta Robben, executive director of Divine Mercy Radio Inc., was named to the EWTN Radio Affiliate Advisory Committee by David Vacheresse, general manager of the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network. The advisory committee will assist the EWTN Radio management team to determine what programming is best throughout Catholic radio affiliates in the United States. Robben received her master's and bachelor's degrees from Fort Hays State University. She also is a certified pastoral associate, studying theology for three years through the Vinea Program of the Diocese of Salina. Divine Mercy Radio, whose call letters are KVDM, can be found at 88.1 in the Hays area.

Morgan Hart, a graduate of Fort Hays State University, was hired as thrift shop coordinator to help with day-to-day operations by Arc of Central Plains. He also is assisting with volunteer recruitment and quality control.
