PARK CITY -- Fans of non-wing sprint cars will have an opportunity to watch them compete in western Kansas.
On Thursday, 81 Speedway in Park City will host the USAC Freedom Tour. The event will pay $2,500 to win that night and features the 360 sprinters.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with races set for 7:30 p.m.
The event is expected to draw drivers from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. A few drivers from California and Arizona with the USAC Southwest Region also are expected to race.
Tickets are $15 for those 11 and older and $5 for children age 6 to 10. Pit passes are $30.
On Friday and Saturday, the tour moves to Dodge City Raceway Park to tame the 3âÑ8-mile dirt oval.
Both nights of racing are set for 7:30 p.m. at DCRP, with $2,500 going to the winner of both nights.
Tickets are $12 for adults Friday and $15 for adults Saturday. Children 11 and younger are free with a paid adult.
