SALINA, Kan. -- After the reopening of the Salina Speedway last season race fans have been treated to just about every type of racing except for one division: Sprint Cars. That drought of activity will disappear on Thursday August 16, 2012 as the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series rolls into town for the first time ever, and the first time Sprint Cars have been at the track in six years.
Tickets for the inaugural event are now available on the Salina Speedway website, or by visiting ShowClix.com and searching for the event. Admission prices will be $20 for Adults, with every seat being General Admission. Race fans will have three options to get their tickets. They include a texted graphic, a printable ticket, or a will call option.
Currently with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series Jason Johnson holds a points lead ahead of nationally renowned drivers such as Wayne Johnson, Brady Bacon, Johnny Herrera, Brad Loyet, Tony Bruce Jr., Gary Wright, and many more. Many local drivers are also expected to compete in the event.
The Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Cars will be joined by the Auto House Mod Lites and T&R Dirt Construction Mini Stocks as support classes.
