STOCKTON, KS (August 16)--Fair races came to an end on Thursday evening, August 16, at Rooks County Speedway in Stockton, KS, with fair champions crowned at the end of the night.

G.W. 'Cheeseburger' Fuller led all 15 laps in the IMCA Hobby Stock feature, which went caution free for the second night in a row. Fuller's win, along with his third place finish on Wednesday night, gave him the fair championship. Jacob Crowell was able to finish second in the feature race, followed by heat one winner Cody 'Bam Bam' Graham, Mark Normandin and Al Emmons. Heat two winner Jeromy Wagner was sixth.

Kaid Calhoon took the early lead in the IMCA Sport Mod feature. The lone caution waved on lap 3 when Kurtis Pihl spun. Heat one winner Calhoon led the field back to green, trailed by Blaine Walt, Tanner Portenier, Mark Zorn and second heat victor Tracy Holloway. Zorn however worked his way to the top spot on lap 6, but five laps later a hard charging Tyler Frye of Belleville took command and held on the remaining 4 laps for the victory, his second in as many nights at Stockton. Zorn settled for second, followed by Calhoon, Walt and Portenier. 'The Frye Man' not only won the fair championship, but also the Fuzzy Hudson Memorial Hard Charger Award.

Shaylon Holloway led the opening lap of the 20-lap IMCA Stock Car feature, but Adam Balthazor took over the lead on lap 2. Balthazor continued to lead at the halfway mark with the top nine cars nose to tail. On lap 11, Balthazor and Holloway made contact up front, and that was the opening third running Pat Bedore of Stockton was looking for. Bedore shot past the two leaders to take a lead he would not relinquish. The red flag waved on lap 14 when Dustin McClurg rolled his car on its side. He was okay for done for the night. On the restart, Bedore held off a determined 'Tazz Man' Tyler Hahn at the finish for the victory at his hometown track. Scot Grazella, Holloway, and Nolan Remus rounded out the top five. The newlywed Bedore gave his new wife a wedding present with the fair championship. McClurg and Jason Davis won the two heat races.

Russell's Marty Clark was in the right place at the right time in the 20-lap IMCA Modified feature. Brian Calhoon took the lead at the drop of the green, and had a sizeable lead at the halfway mark. But on lap 13, Calhoon had car problems and came to a stop off the backstretch to bring out the lone caution. Second running Clark then led the field back to green, followed by David Murray Jr., Randy Wilson, 'The Ragin Cajun' Jeff Walters and Tim Watts. Murray got close to Clark, but Clark then pulled away to win his second feature in as many nights at the ½-mile oval to claim the fair championship. Murray settled for second, followed by Wilson, Walters and Watts. Heat race victors were Calhoon and Wilson.

Dean Kester and Prowler Chassis provided the championship awards.
