Tiger wrestlers second in Kansas Cup

The Fort Hays State University wrestling team finished second Saturday in the Kansas Cup tournament at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
The Tigers had four invividual champions, and scored 131 points, just a half point behind team champion Bethany College.
Adam Ludwin (125), Mitchell Means (157), Josh Rodriguez (174) and Trey Page (285) all won individual titles for FHSU, the No. 6 ranked team in NCAA Division II.
Ludwin defeated Neosho Community College's Tim Prescott, 6-5 in his title match. Means topped Bethany's Jonathan Blackwell wit a 5-3 decision, and Rodriguez defeated Baker's Parker Owen, 7-4.
Page earned a technical fall (15-0) against Pratt Community College's Beau Bergeron.
At 133 pounds, Symon Seaton finished 3-1 to take third. Joey Dozier also placed third at 149 pounds, with a win against Colby Community College's Elijah Cook to move to 3-1.
At 165, Bryce Lewis finished 2-1 and fellin the title match for the Tigers. Jon Inman was also 2-1, falling in the title match, and Chad Rous 0-2 at 197 pounds.
Next action for FHSU is 2 p.m. on Feb. 2 against Newman University at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
