Taylor Corley led seven different ball carriers for the Knights with five touches for 74 yards and a pair of scores. Brady Dinkel was 4 of 4 passing for 93 yards and three scores. The Knights' offense posted 275 yards. Victoria finishes the regular season against Wilson on Thursday, and will host Ingalls in the first round of the Division II playoffs Nov. 5.

OBERLIN -- Ellis will now need a win against Oakley to get into the playoffs after Oberlin earned the shutout victory against the Railers. Oberlin can secure the second spot with a win Friday at Leoti-Wichita County. A win by Oakley against Ellis wraps up the district title. In Friday's game, Dayton Dreher rushed 18 times for 99 yards for the Red Devils and four different Oberlin quarterbacks had a passing attempt. Dreher led the way as he finished 4 of 4 for 34 yards and one score.

MINNEAPOLIS --  Grant Wickham had six carries for 157 yards and two scores and Michael Dusin had nine carries for 137 yards and a pair of scores as Phillipsburg cruised in Class 3A, District 14 play. The win sets up a win-and-in game for Phillipsburg and Norton on Thursday. Phillipsburg led 47-3 at halftime with three first-half touchdowns by Wickham (two rushing, one receving). Riley Juenemann was 4 of 4 passing for the Panthers for 132 yards and a score. Hunter Kohler added 106 yards on seven carries with a score and Juenemann rushed for two scores in the effort. Phillipsburg, a favorite last season in the district, was kept out of the playoffs in a Week 9 loss to Norton. This year's game is in Norton.

NESS CITY -- Rawlins County eliminated the defending Eight-Man Divison I state champion Eagles from playoff contention and set up a district championship match this week with Hoxie. Rawlins County moved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in district play and Hoxie is 7-1 and 4-0 in district play. Ness City dropped to 4-4 with the loss, and 2-2 in district play. The Eagles will wrap up their title defense season with Thursday's game at Hill City. Tanner McMillen passed for 97 yards for the Eagles and two TD passes. Pedro Floes had five carries for 36 yards. Dylan Tiemeyer had two rushing scores for the Buffaloes, who recorded one more win than they had last season. The winner of Thursday's game vs. Hoxie in Atwood will determine who travels and who stays home in the first round of the Divsion I playoffs.

HOXIE -- Connor Katt rushed 13 times for 125 yards and four touchdowns, leading Hoxie to the rout, setting up next week's district championship in Eight-Man Division I, District 8 against Atwood-Rawlins County. Chase Kennedy added nine carries for 56 yards and a score, and threw for 75 yards and a TD in the win. Hoxie racked up 254 yards on the ground. Quinter finished with just 96 yards. Tyler Waggoner completed 4 of 10 passes for 60 yards with a TD to Colton Corwin. Quinter wraps up its season Thursday at home against Trego.

WaKEENEY -- Devon Ghumm took the game's opening kickoff 79 yards to the house, but Hill City scored 20 unanswered to claim the win in a bottom-feeder matchup in Eight-Man Division I, District 8. Derick McKeever had two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) for Hill City, which moved to 2-6 with the win. McKeever rushed 18 times for 123 yards while Clay Money had 100 yards on 26 touches. Trego (1-7) closes its season Thursday at Quinter, while Hill City hosts Ness City.

ELLINWOOD -- The Leopards wrapped up the Class 2-1A District 5 championship by moving to 8-0 after a big third quarter Friday. It marks the 10th straight playoff appearance for the Leopards. Andrew Jay had a big night receiving, catching three passes for 127 yards and two scores from quarterback Jack Garcia. Garcia finished 6 of 11 for 208 yards and three scores, the other to Shane Miller. Clayton Herdman, a freshman, also completed 1 of 3 passes for 55 yards and a score to Chance Sherman. La Crosse closes the regular season with Medicine Lodge on Friday, and awaits its home opponent for the first round of the Class 2-1A playoffs.

SMITH CENTER -- The Redmen clinched the district championship in Class 2-1A, District 6 with the blowout victory. The Redmen will host Sterling in the first round of the playoffs, but first will finish the regular season with a game Friday at Belleville-Republic County. Grant Lambert rushed for 195 yards and three scores, while Nick Lehmkuhl added 128 yards and two scores on Friday for Smith Center, which moved to 6-2. The only losses for the Redmen this season are to Beloit and Phillipsburg.

SCANDIA -- The Osbonre Bulldogs wrapped up the Eight-Man Division I, District 4 championship by rolling past Pike Valley. Jake Tiernan threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 115 yards and a score to lead the way for Eight-Man Division I's highest-scoring offense. Kenton Ubelaker added 71 yards on 10 carries, while Maverick LeRock had eight touches for 61 yards and three scores in the effort. Osborne closes out the regular season Thursday against Rock Hills, and will await its first-round home opponent in the Division I playoffs.

PLAINVILLE -- The Cardinals made short work of winless Republic County to stay in second place in the Class 2-1A District 6, which was wrapped up by Smith Center on Friday. Plainville can secure the second playoff spot with a win Friday at Washington County (4-4). The Cardinals are 3-1 in district play.
