HHS golf takes second at Liberal

LIBERAL -- The Hays High School boys' golf team took second with a score of 325 Tuesday at the Liberal Invitational.

The Indians finished behind powerhouse Dodge City (291) but defeated the rest of the Western Athletic Conference. Garden City was third with 340.

Kaden Beilman and Payton Ruder were the lone Indians placers, finishing ninth and 10th with scores of 80.

Cash Hobson and Lane Clark shot 82 and 83, respectively, to round out the team score.

Ryan Unruh and Nathan Romme also competed on varsity, but didn't figure into the team score, shooting 84 and 90, respectively.

Chase Lynd played junior varsity and shot a 92.
