LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- The University of Kansas breaks ground this week for a $66 million building to house the School of Business.
University Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, Gov. Sam Brownback and business school leaders are scheduled to attend the ceremony Friday afternoon.
The six-story, 166,000-square-foot building will replace Summerfield Hall, which will eventually be used for other purposes. Most of the funding for construction comes from private gifts.
Friday's event will take place across the street from Allen Fieldhouse on the Naismith Drive tennis courts, where the new School of Business will be located. The courts will be moved to another location on campus.
