(MCT) A DUI saturation patrol Saturday night netted seven arrests -- including one for a bench warrant, according to a news release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.

Lt. David Mattingly said extra deputies patrolled the county on Saturday night looking for drunken drivers; there was no check lane, he said. Six DUI arrests is "pretty average" for a patrol like this, he said.

One sergeant and four deputies patrolled from 11 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.

The operation was funded by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation, according to the release.
